Chicago’s Curves

This week’s Twitter #FriFotos theme is “Curves”, which is rather convenient for me since I just photographed many downtown Chicago curves. While the windy city’s architecture is probably better known for its sharp angled geometry, it also has a surprising amount of rounded shapes. So, following, are some curvatious Chicago icons!

Pedestrian Bridge at Millennium Park, over Columbus Dr.

The Aqua Tower, as viewed from Millennium Park. It has undulating, wave-like, curvaceous slabs.

The London Guarantee Building, on the South end of the Michigan Avenue Bridge.

Marina City, Chicago

River City, Chicago

Lake Point Tower

The Cloud Gate sculpture, at Millennium Park, more commonly referred to as, “The Bean”.
